What will we do?
Firstly you will be given an introductory briefing and kitted out with appropriate clothing and safety equipment. Then you will enjoy a short familiarisation period in the vehicle, driving off road in a controlled area. Once your leader is happy that everyone is ready the adventure drive begins.
What comes next depends upon the specific tour programme. However, you can look forward to an adventure drive through very attractive countryside. All our routes are designed to be fun, varied, scenic and un-hurried. There is plenty of time given over for photography, for chatting with other participants, enjoying snacks or a picnic, etc etc.

How many vehicles are there in a trek?
Usually there are 3 or 4 adventure buggies plus the leaders vehicle. Of course, this number can vary depending upon circumstances.

How much does it cost?
The Adventures page describes all our packages, with prices clearly indicated. There are no hidden extras. We do, of course, stop from time to time, so personal spending money is advisable for the longer treks .

Are there any hidden extras?
NO. We hate them just as much as you probably do.

Can we choose our own route?
Yes and No.
Yes, if you would like us to design a personalised adventure just for your group. Please contact us in advance and we will be delighted to help. We have decades of experience in creating one off specials!
If you are on one of our standard tours then it may be possible to include some variety into the programme. This will be at the discretion of your leader. We aim to be as flexible as possible.

How often do we stop?
There are regular stops for photos, breaks, refreshments or just enjoying the countryside. Every tour is different, but the pace is designed to be un-hurried. It's rare that we would drive for more than 30 minutes without a break.

What clothing do you supply?
You will be provided with overalls and/or waterproof jacket and trousers, a crash helmet (which must be worn at all times) and gloves.

What should we bring?
This varies depending upon the time of year and the tour duration. For clothing, plenty of layers are best i.e. jumper, fleece, scarf, maybe a second pair of socks, thick trousers are all worth considering.  Sturdy footwear is advisable. If it's raining you will definitely get wet. Only wear clothes you are happy to get dirty.
Please don't come with just a Tee shirt. The chill factor can be considerable and getting cold will spoil your enjoyment.
You may wish to consider a change of clothes for your homeward journey.
Cameras are strongly recommended, plus some spare batteries! Every buggy has a small storage box but you may like to bring your own protective box. Water can spray around quite a bit.
Spending money is handy for the 2 hr +  tours.
And it doesn't matter if you forget to bring a happy face - we will provide that by the end of the trip.

Is it very wet and muddy?
Yes, it can be. The adventure buggies are completely open and so water and mud will spray anywhere at any time! On wet days it can be very wet, but that's all part of the fun. Be prepared to get wet and/or muddy at any time, even on the driest summer's day. Equally, dust is just as likely on those long dry summer days we seem to be enjoying nowadays. 

What age groups enjoy these adventure treks?
The treks are designed to appeal to all ages, from 6 upwards.  Quadventures is all about inclusive fun and the range and variety of tours is designed to reflect this. Families, the young, the old, special interest groups, grandparents and grandchildren, bored teenagers, birthday parties, dad and daughter, all are welcome and can expect to have a great time.
'Boy racers'  may want to check carefully that Quadventures is right for them before booking.

Where do we go?
That depends on your booking.
All those of 1 hour or less are within the grounds of Camp Hill Activities Centre, our country estate venue. Here you will enjoy open park and woodland trails, with various lumps and bumps, watersplash etc (these are developing all the time)
All the extended treks take to the public road and are designed to lead you through stunning and varied countryside. Hills and dales, woods and streams, villages and lanes are what you can expect.
Obviously, every route is different and the longer the trip the greater the variety. If you have any particular special interest please do contact us and we will do our best to accommodate you. 

What are my responsibilities as a driver?
Drivers are required to display a satisfactory level of driving competence and general responsibility at all times. Anyone failing to meet or maintain this standard will not be permitted to continue. Of course, if you are driving on public roads all the normal rules and laws of the land apply.
